We entered the month February 2007 with such disaster. About 1 month ago a plane missing and a big ship drawn into the open sea, hundreds are still missing. At the night of February 1st, the rain poured like crazy. The electricity went out and the next day half of Jakarta was drawn into flood1-4 meters. My house was safe but we are surrounded by the flood and the electricity went off until today.

It's quiet hard to share what most of Jakartans went through these last few days. I can't express it through this blog. Maybe it's just like having a snow strom for days in Europe and not be able to go anywhere or to do anything. Most of them just lost everything they have. There was nothing they could save since it happened in the middle of the night very fast. They just have to save themselves. Many of them are still trapped in their own houses, specially the elders and children.

It is sad and makes you feel gratefull just to be where you are, to have what you have and to feel what you feel...
