Mudik

Bandung, Cirebon, Kuningan are all in West Java
it's where the family of my husband lives
some of them I haven't met
so 15 of us went there on Idul Fitri last week
including 3 infants, my 'new' nephiews
in a car and two motorcycles
we traveled from Bandung to Cirebon
and from Cirebon to Kuningan
all in one day

along with thousands of other people
went back to meet and greet their families
also ask for "once a year" forgiveness
crazy traffick jam
long long hours drive
sleeping altogether in one big room
best food you ever taste or imagine existed
and brought it back as much as you can
in the spirit of mudik
